Reading Literacy Competition
The fragrance of books can lead one far. With poetry and books in our chest, our demeanor becomes elegant. In order to further create a rich reading atmosphere in the campus and stimulate students' interest in reading, as well as enhance the reading literacy of all students, on April 17th, our school's primary school reading literacy competition officially kicked off. This competition, as one of the special activities of our school's April Reading Month, provided a wonderful stage for students who love reading to showcase themselves and compete in their talents.
To begin with, on the competition stage, the young contestants were all full of energy and composed, carefully reading and thinking deeply about each reading question, who demonstrated solid reading skills and outstanding critical thinking abilities in multiple aspects such as text comprehension, knowledge accumulation, and language application.
What's more, after a fierce competition and professional evaluation, three outstanding students were selected from each grade, who stood out with their excellent performance and achieved remarkable results! Evidently, behind every achievement lies the accumulation of reading over time, and it is also the best testimony to the children's love for reading and their diligence in thinking.
Furthermore, having books as friends brings lifelong benefits; having books as companions ensures a fulfilling childhood. Thus, not only did the successful holding of this primary school reading literacy competition evaluate the reading achievements of the students, but also deeply planted the seeds of reading in the hearts of every student, further enhancing the literary atmosphere in Anqing Foreign Language School.
In conclusion, in the future, our school will continue to take the Reading Month activities as an opportunity to organize more diverse and enjoyable reading events, guiding students to develop the good habits of reading extensively, reading wisely and reading proficiently. More remarkably, we aim to let the fragrance of books permeate every corner of the campus, enabling children to broaden their horizons, enhance their wisdom and grow healthily through reading!
